  • When you have a bunch of people over to watch a pay-per-view show, you pay for viewing the show at your house. But should your guests each be required to each pay the company to view the show with you? Unless you sell tickets or charge admission, you can 'share' the show you paid to view.

  • Perhaps airlines charges should be based on passenger weight -- number of seats required, then add $20 surcharges for each problem issue like each unruly child or pet that can't pass a behavior test, obnoxious adults, smokers, drunks, those with odd odors, those eating noisily, passing gas, talking …

  • How about banning people with allergies? Or banning people with children? Or banning children? Or banning people with body odor or too much added scenting? Or banning those who talk too loudly or too much? Or banning those who are just obnoxious?

  • Airlines should charge for pets the same way they charge for children. Perhaps airlines should require containment for both pets and children. Better yet, require that both pets and children pass obedience testing prior to flying.

  • If you have allergies, bring your inhaler or pay to fly first class. Pets are usually in the main cabin in kennels and better behaved than most children. Perhaps both pets and children should be confined.

  • Reading what is written in the historical Code of Hammurabi is enlightening and gives a unique perspective to the way people lived in that time. But to apply single lines out of the Code of Hammurabi to a particular segment of the population today is ridiculous.

  • The leadership of The Church of Scotland does not agree with your presumption that the Bible condemns homosexuality as sin, nor do I. There is nowhere in the Bible that condemns a present-day loving committed monogamous homosexual relationship.

  • Jackie, of course there is a difference between attraction and action. Actions that are mutual, gentle, non-abusive, committed and caring based on genuine attractions demonstrate the heartfelt love involved, irrespective of the gender identity or the gender orientation of either person.
